Dogsong By Gary Paulsen

Picture
Russel Susskit hates the changes to his Eskimo village. They went from dogsleds to loud snowmobiles puffing out huge diesel clouds scaring the seals away. Needing guidance, he turns to the elder of his village, Oogruk. Oogruk sends Russel a powerful vision about how the old ways used to be, and how everyone had their very own song; discussing who they were.
He must travel, with just a bow and lance, to find his inner self and hopefully his very own song.
